The new £3million High Ashurst Outdoor Activity Centre (above), which opened for business in August, has three dedicated accommodation blocks plus the main building that provides users and staff with catering, dining, toilet, shower and office facilities. The central hall features an with exposed glulam beams and a panoramic glazed end wall . The new buildings are true examples of timber based construction, with British western red cedar timber frames and cladding from local sources plus floating wood floors, timber decking and wood shingle/shake roofing.
