GML Construction wins high praise for work at local school |

GML Construction has today received high praise from our client at Linton Park School in Maidstone, for the seamless integration of their construction practices into a working school environment.
Tasked with building a two-storey, stand-alone classroom block with more than 1,000 square metres, to fit in with the existing school buildings, GML Construction started the project worth £1.16m in January this year. Now near-completion, the school is extremely proud of their new facilities that comprise of classrooms, a gymnasium and a staff room.

Solar power is everywhere these days and for good reason; it’s kinder to the environment and can save people money – something which all of us can appreciate. Now a company from Kent is about to practice what it preaches (and sells) after gaining planning permission to build a solar photovoltaic (PV) system that will generate enough solar power to run 12 average-sized homes.
However, it’s not homes on this occasion that the ground-mounted solar array will power – it’s The Green Home Company’s offices in Coxheath, near Maidstone. Once completed the solar installation will slash the amount of electricity the firm’s offices use, and reduce its carbon footprint too.

Recognition for our construction excellence |

Champagne corks are popping at GML Construction after the company was named as SME of the Year at the London and South East final of the Constructing Excellence Awards 2011.
The accolade was announced at an awards lunch in London this afternoon (Friday, 16 September).
It was collected by Contracts Manager Darren Warner who proudly walked off with a trophy and certificate destined for GML’s offices in Coxheath, near Maidstone.
GML group Managing Director Alan Proto said: “This is marvellous news for us and a wonderful reward for our team which works incredibly hard in whatever they do. We are very proud of the project at High Ashurst, which is why we entered it into the Constructing Excellence Awards 2011 as our case study. Well done to everyone involved.’’
